Eid al-Fitr - usually just called Eid - is the festival marking the end of the daytime fasting that takes place through Ramadan. Eid takes place on the first day of the next month, Shawwal. Months in the Islamic calendar are based on sightings of the moon and so the date of Eid for 2018 was only confirmed the day before as June 15.
