Five Revenue disputes worth €2.1bn were referred to the Tax Appeals Commission just before Christmas, dwarfing the €432m of contested assessments lodged in the previous 12 months, according to its annual report for 2018. All five cases are believed to involve disputed assessments for corporation tax.
