Lloyd Alphonso Braffith’s (aka Dove, 1940-2002) acrylic paintings were bright oranges, reds and yellows and deeply hued greens and blues of St. Croix, the land of his birth — a home, during his life, he never physically traveled away from. He once shared with me that the furthest he went from Frederiksted was Christiansted.
